About Santosh Dental College

Santosh Dental College, established in 1995, received approval from the Government of India under section 10A (4) of the Dentists Act 1948 to begin the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program with an initial intake of 40 students. In the academic session of 2004–2005, the Central Government granted permission to expand the intake capacity to 100 students, reflecting the college’s growth and commitment to providing quality dental education.

At Santosh Dental College, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the biological and physical processes of oral health. The curriculum is designed to equip them with the essential skills needed for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oral diseases, fostering a deep sense of responsibility toward improving dental and oral health in society. The college is closely associated with a well-equipped dental hospital that offers specialized care in various dental disciplines, giving students practical exposure to real-world clinical environments.

The college offers a BDS program with a sanctioned intake of 100 students and an MDS program with 27 seats annually, both approved by the Dental Council of India. Additionally, the Ph.D. program is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), further enhancing the academic offerings.
