Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge is that branch of dental art and science pertaining to the restoration and maintenance of oral function, health, comfort, and appearance by the replacement of mission or lost natural teeth and associated tissues either by fixed or removable artificial substitutes.
MDS Prosthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry that focuses on the restoration and replacement of missing teeth, utilizing fixed or removable prostheses. Crown and bridge, a common treatment in prosthodontics, involves placing artificial crowns on damaged teeth or bridging the gap between missing teeth for improved aesthetics and function.
Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for admission to the MDS Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge program are as follows:
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a recognized university. The candidate should also have completed a one-year rotating internship program in a recognized dental college.
Minimum Marks: The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in their BDS degree. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes, the minimum percentage is 40%.
Duration of the Course: 3 Years.
