Overview

Established in 1996 for BDS and 2005 for MDS, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery stands at the forefront of surgical education and patient care. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to the management of cranio-maxillofacial trauma, ensuring exceptional care at affordable prices.

With two postgraduate seats available each year, we offer an intensive training program that blends rigorous hands-on experience with exposure to diverse surgical cases. To date, 32 students have graduated from our MDS program, showcasing our commitment to nurturing skilled professionals.

Our innovative teaching methodologies promote active learning and engagement, equipping students with the confidence and expertise needed to address complex challenges in oral and maxillofacial surgery. By prioritizing both education and community impact, we strive to enhance the well-being of our patients while preparing our graduates for successful careers in the field.

Qualifications: BDS, MDS & DNB - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Amit Bihari Lall is the Professor and Head of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology. He holds a BDS, MDS, and DNB in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, bringing extensive expertise to both teaching and clinical practice.

With years of academic experience, Dr. Lall has contributed significantly to the development of the department and the education of future professionals in the field. His knowledge in oral and maxillofacial pathology and microbiology, along with his dedication to research and clinical care, has made him a prominent figure in the field. Dr. Lall is passionate about advancing medical education, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and integrating innovative practices to improve patient care and treatment outcomes.
