Dr. Mayurika S Tyagi, Professor and Head in the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion (IHBT), attended the Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). This 5-day first contact session was organized at the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) in New Delhi, with the primary objective of enhancing the teaching and educational skills of medical faculty members.
The ACME is a comprehensive faculty development program designed to equip medical educators with effective pedagogical techniques and strategies. Dr. Tyagi, along with Dr Shikha Pawaiya from the department of Ophthalmology, attended the program as a representative of our institution's Medical Education Unit (MEU). The program focused on various aspects of medical education, including curriculum design, assessment methods, teaching methodologies, and student evaluation.
The newly acquired skills and knowledge are expected to positively impact the teaching and learning in the department and contribute to the overall improvement of medical education at our institution. We look forward to the continued application of these skills in our educational endeavours.
