AAROGYAM 2024 has been conducted by Central Research Facility and Student Welfare Section of Santosh Deemed to be University. This is an annual event of Central Research Facility Preconference Hands-on Workshop on Molecular Technique and Bioinformatic tools. The chair of this conference i.e Dean Research Dr Jyoti Batra threw the light on Aarogyam and introduced the resource person for the workshop. Indresh Kumar Singh from AIIMS, New Delhi, along with Dr. Rajkumar Prabhakaran and Mr. Sivabalan KPS, CRF Santosh Deemed to be University, led the hands-on training on molecular techniques. Dr. Ajit Kumar from MDU, Rohtak, conducted the session on bioinformatics tools. A total of 55 professionals and students registered for the pre-conference workshop. All delegates actively participated in the workshop activities and found it to be very interactive.
Second Day of Conference includes Scientific sessions Key Note Address entitled “How to Write Successful extramural government Projects? Which was delivered by Dr. Ashoo Grover, Scientist ‘F’ ICMR and followed by other Invited Lectures from various Medical and Scientific Expert; Dr. Shirshendu Mukherjee who is Mission Director Ind-CEPI BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistant Council), Mission Director Grand Challege India, Mission Incharge Mission COVID Suraksha has shared his views on Funding opportunities in healthcare Ecosystem followed by Policy Implication of Research in Health by Dr. Salaj Rana.
The Programme was inaugurated in the Gracious Presence of Hon’ble Chancellor Professor Dr. Y.M. Jayaraj, Pro-chancellor Dr. Manoj Goyal, Vice-chancellor Dr. Tripta S. Bhagat, Director Administration, Registrar Dr. Ezhilrajan, Dean Medical College Dr. Alka Agrawal and Dean Dental College Dr. Akshay Bhargava, Dr. Jyoti Batra Dean Research and Chairperson and Dr. Rajiv Ahluwalia Dean Student Welfare & Co-chair of the conference and Dr. Sivanesan Dhandayuthapani and Dr. Raj Narayan Gupta (Organizing Secretaries) of the Conference.
All Scientific Sessions were conducted as per scheduled conference also included Oral and Poster Presentations session for UG, PG and PhD Scholars and students, and further evaluated by the Experts followed by Rewards to winners.
Third Day of Conference included Invited Lectures by Dr. Priyanka Kapoor Professor at Jamia Milia Islamia New Delhi Followed by Dr. Dheeraj Shah currently working as Director of the National Institute of Mental Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), Dr. Priyanka address the session on Gatekeepers of Publishing Scientific Literature where she summarizes Do’s and Don’ts while writing Scientific Literature.
Dr. Shah addressed the session on “National Research Priorities in child health” and various schemes of Government of India for Research funding in Child Health.
Dr. Avijit Bansal from AIIMS, New Delhi addressed the session on the “Role of Medical College in Med-tech innovation”. Followed by Dr. Akshay Bhargava, Dean Dental, who explained about How to write discussion? Followed by Dr. Hariom Soni, Asst. Professor of Pharmacology on Role of Investigator in Clinical trials and Dr. Dakshina Bisht, IQAC Director who talked on “Quality Enhancement and Best Practices in Research Design”.
Last Session was Talent Hunt where 7 Oral Presentation from Undergraduate and Postgraduate were done with 3 Judges in all Oral, Poster and Talent Hunt session followed by in Valedictory Function Dr. Rajiv Ahluwalia Dean student welfare addressed the audience and participant/Delegates followed by Felicitation of Winners, Organizing team and Students Representatives and their team.
The organizing secretaries Dr. Raj Narayan Gupta and Dr. Sivanesan Dhandayuthapani concluded the session with the Vote of thanks.
A total of 585 registered delegates, with an average of 550 attendees per day for the event. 41 oral presentations, 29 poster presentations, and 9 guest lectures were conducted, showcasing a diverse range of contributions and insights from the participants. Overall, this was a successful event and captured widely by the media.
