Moral of the Story :
Nambi's tale beautifully illustrates that even a seemingly simple person can draw close to God through sincerity and unwavering dedication in their prayers.
The Food Offering to Mahaganpati
In a quaint village, a young child named Nambi embarked on a heartwarming journey of devotion to Mahaganpati, the elephant-headed God. With sincerity, he faithfully performed the rituals he had learned, offering delicious food to the divine deity.
However, there was a twist that Nambi was unaware of – his father had a tradition of symbolically dedicating the offerings to the Lord and then taking them back. Little Nambi, eagerly waiting for the elephant-headed Lord to partake in his offering, grew disheartened when he saw no sign of the Lord consuming the food.
Tears welled up in the child's eyes, thinking that his worship must have been flawed, and that's why the Lord hadn't accepted the offering. With a heavy heart, he contemplated hurting himself in despair, believing that his devotion had fallen short.
But the innocent and unwavering love in Nambi's heart moved the heavens. The elephant-headed Lord, witnessing Nambi's pure and faultless love, intervened to stop the child from hurting himself. In a divine gesture, the Lord consumed all the food offerings that the child had brought, thereby imparting to him the blessing of knowledge.
