Department

Overview

Established in 1995, the Department of Orthopaedics has become a vital part of our medical institution, offering specialized training and comprehensive care. The department currently accommodates 7 MS (Orthopaedics) seats, 150 MBBS seats, and 7 seats for the BSc Orthopaedics & Plaster Technician Course.
A key differentiator for our department is the provision of Total Knee Replacement (TKR) and Total Hip Replacement (THR) surgeries at competitive pricing, making essential procedures accessible to a broader population. Post-operative care includes private ward accommodations for arthroplasty patients, ensuring comfort and individualized attention during recovery.
Our department prioritizes education and professional development through regular academic sessions and presentations focused on replacement surgeries. Additionally, we host a weekly fracture clinic, facilitating in-depth discussions on trauma cases to enhance clinical decision-making.
To date, the department has successfully trained 21 MS, 25 BSc, and 2 PhD students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to excel in the field of orthopaedics. This commitment to education and patient care establishes our department as a leader in orthopaedic medicine.
