Mastering Hand Hygiene: A Critical Skill
On February 24, 2025, the Department of Pathology at Santosh Deemed to be University conducted a hands-on training session on hand hygiene in the Demonstration Room. Led by esteemed faculty members, the workshop emphasized the importance of handwashing in preventing nosocomial infections and maintaining a safe hospital environment. Over 30 students actively participated, learning the WHO-recommended seven steps of hand hygiene. The session received positive feedback, reinforcing the significance of proper hand hygiene practices in healthcare. This initiative highlights the university’s commitment to infection control and patient safety through practical skill-building workshops.
