World Sight Day 2024

On World Sight Day, October 10, 2024, the Department of Ophthalmology at Santosh Medical College & Hospital organized an event themed "Love Your Eyes, Kids." Dr. Sarita Aggarwal, Head of the Department, inaugurated the program by emphasizing early eye care for children. Public awareness sessions led by Dr. Sumbul educated families on pediatric eye health. Free screenings for refractive errors were conducted for children, and parents received personalized counseling on maintaining eye health. The event highlighted outdoor activities, UV protection, and a Vitamin A-rich diet to prevent vision issues. Participants praised the initiative, inspiring future community outreach programs.
