World Parkinsons Day

On April 12, 2024, the Department of Physiology at Santosh Medical College, alongside the MBBS 2023 Batch, organized an impactful event to commemorate World Parkinson's Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about Parkinson's Disease, a neurodegenerative disorder affecting millions. A highlight was a role-play by students depicting various aspects of living with Parkinson's, including diagnosis, symptom management, and caregiver challenges. Faculty members shared expert insights, followed by a discussion and Q&A session. The event, guided by Dr. Manisha Gupta and Dr. Shishir Dutt, successfully emphasized empathy, support, and multidisciplinary care for those affected by Parkinson's.
