World Organ Donation Day

On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, the Department of Nephrology in collaboration with Department of Medicine conducted various activities on 13th August 2024. The program was aimed at increasing awareness among teachers, students and other staff members about the organ donation and its importance in everyone’s life. The program was attended by the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, Dean of Medical College, Medical Director, Dean of Dental College, Medical Superintendent, Dean Academics, Dean Research and around 200 delegates comprising of teachers, students and other staff members. The program included detailed scientific sessions which enlightened us with the knowledge of brain death, importance of organ donation and saving lives of people awaiting organ transplantation. The department also conducted poster presentation competition by students in which approximately 32 students participated. Among the participants, three posters were adjudged among the best and ware awarded. Dr. Kalra thanked the management and administrative staff of the university for providing financial and logistic support. The program was followed by high tea.
