World Hemophilia Day

On April 19, 2024, Santosh Medical College & Hospital hosted a seminar in Maharaja Hall to commemorate World Hemophilia Day under the theme “Equitable Access for All: Recognizing All Bleeding Disorders.” Organized by the Departments of IHBT and Pathology, the event drew 126 students and 10 faculty members. The seminar featured expert presentations, starting with Dr. Saumya Panday’s introduction to hemophilia, followed by Dr. Priyanka Gupta’s insights into genetics and diagnosis. Dr. Mamta Priya discussed treatment complications, while Dr. Sehrish Chaudhary highlighted recent advances in therapy. The event emphasized the importance of advocacy and awareness for equitable healthcare access for all bleeding disorders.
