Voluntary Blood Donation Week on the occasion of World Health Day

The "Voluntary Blood Donation Week" was held from April 1 to April 7, 2024, at the Blood Centre, IHBT Department, Santosh Medical College and Hospitals, in celebration of World Health Day. Organized by the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion, this initiative aimed to raise awareness about the significance of voluntary blood donation. The week included activities such as registration, medical screenings by qualified professionals, and blood collection, resulting in 27 successful donations. This successful event not only addressed community blood needs but also fostered a spirit of social responsibility and unity among participants, highlighting the lifesaving impact of blood donation.
