Voluntary Blood Donation Camp

On August 9, 2024, the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion successfully conducted an in-house voluntary blood donation camp at the Blood Centre, Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad. This initiative aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation among employees, addressing the critical need for blood in local hospitals and emergency services while reinforcing our commitment to community welfare and health.

The event commenced at 9:00 AM and concluded at 4:00 PM. It included various activities such as registration, medical screening, blood donation, and post-donation refreshments. Upon arrival, donors were greeted and registered, providing basic information and consent to participate. A brief medical screening was conducted by professional staff to ensure donor eligibility and safety. The blood donation process was smooth and overseen by trained medical personnel, ensuring both safety and comfort for all participants. After donating, individuals were provided with refreshments and given guidance on post-donation care, including a brief wellness check.
