Participation in the Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME)

Dr. Mayurika S. Tyagi, Professor and Head of the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion (IHBT), participated in the Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME) held at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) in New Delhi from August 21 to August 25, 2024. This five-day faculty development program, organized by the Medical Education Unit (MEU), aimed to enhance the teaching and educational skills of medical faculty members.

The ACME is designed to equip educators with effective pedagogical techniques and strategies. Dr. Tyagi attended alongside Dr. Shikha Pawaiya from the Department of Ophthalmology, representing our institution. The program covered essential topics in medical education, including curriculum design, assessment methods, teaching methodologies, and student evaluation.

The skills and knowledge gained from this workshop are expected to significantly enhance teaching and learning within the department, contributing to the overall improvement of medical education at our institution.
