The Department of General Surgery at Santosh Deemed to be University organized an academic CME on "Air Pollution & Climate Crisis" on July 16, 2024, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. The event, held in LT-4, University Block, was attended by 130 faculty members, postgraduates, and undergraduate students. Organized by Dr. Shalabh Gupta, Dean Academics, and Professor of Surgery, the CME featured Dr. Arvind Kumar, a renowned robotic surgeon from Medanta Hospital and a representative of the Lung Care Foundation. Dr. Kumar highlighted the crucial role of medical professionals in addressing air pollution and climate change, emphasizing the need for action through the "Doctors for Clean Air & Climate Action" initiative.
